Teaching Experience: I began tutoring/teaching when I was in elementary school as ESL was not available. The young girl, Tunde was Hungarian/Romanian and only spoke Hungarian. Since I speak Hungarian, the teacher had me spend time with her everyday helping her with class assignments and pronunciation. In high school, I tutored peers struggling with Math and Spanish as I was advanced in both areas. I was involved with all aspects of swimming from private lessons to water aerobics and lifeguarding. I taught foreign speakers horseback riding lessons. In my mid-twenties, I took a popular TESL/TEFL course and moved to Korea for 4 years. I taught all ages and proficiency levels. I continued similar work in Kuwait. I would love to continue to teaching students from the comfort of my home.
Interests: Like most females, I am interested in makeup, clothing and famous people. I am quite sporty and athletic. I am a part of a Crossfit/BootCamp class 3 times a week. I love dancing, hiking, swimming, kayaking and sup boarding. I enjoy time spent with friends and family. When I have time, I like to cook and watch movies. Also, I love traveling and meeting new people.
Education: From birth, I have moved a lot and often. I attended 12 schools prior to college. My freshman year was spent at Chaminade University. My sophomore and junior years I attended Sacred Heart University with an emphasis in Spanish and Sociology. I graduated from Chaminade University with a B.A. in Psychology. I continued my education at California State University and University of San Francisco with an emphasis in Sociology and Marriage and Family Therapy. I attended Oxford Seminars to receive my TESL/TEFL Certificate. Many years later, I went back to Chaminade University for my Master's of Science in Counseling Psychology as it a unique program which emphasizes Eastern thought, not Western medicine.
