Profession: French teacher and online ESL teacher
Teaching Experience: I hold teaching credentials in California and Texas. My California credential is for K-12th grade French and K-9 English. My Texas certification is for K-12 French and supplementary ESL. I currently teach adult ESL students weekly through my church. Additionally, I teach online ESL to Chinese children weekday mornings. I have been teaching French since 1985, and have now been teaching ESL for 2 years.
Interests: I have grown children. Our family members are all musicians. I grew up on a cattle ranch in California and love animals and gardening. My husband is an accountant, and I worked in the banking industry to pay for my college education. Although I am not an athlete, my husband and 2 sons have all played high school football and baseball. Of course the French language and culture are also interests of mine. I also speak, read and write Spanish at an intermediate low level.
Education: I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Chico in French with a minor in American Literature. I am currently pursuing a Master's of Arts degree in Reading with supplemental certification in ESL from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. However, I have already passed the Texas exam for supplemental certification in ESL.
