Profession: Doctoral Student
Teaching Experience: I am a reviewer/reviser/copy-editor for ESL students at my school and I have informal tutoring experience in written and conversational English.
I have a TESOL certification.
I prefer not to work with students younger than 15 years old.
Interests: I enjoy talking about books, Marvel comics and movies, science fiction, and food!
I also love to travel - I have traveled through eastern Asia, New Zealand, and eastern Europe, with many more countries to go.
If you are a graduate student or interested in university programs in the United States, please give me a call! I enjoy speaking with and working with other graduate students, and will work in session with students on academic writing, revision, and the ever necessary "elevator pitch".
Education: I am a current PhD student studying information science in the United States.
I have degrees in Math, Astronomy, and Information Science. I also speak Spanish with conversational fluency, and studied Arabic for 3 years in college.
During my bachelor's degree, I studied abroad at the American University of Cairo in Egypt (where I fulfilled a lifelong dream to go inside a pyramid!) and at Charles University in Prague, the Czech Republic (where I wandered a castle every day!)
Spoken Languages: English (Native)
