Profession: ESL Instructor
Teaching Experience: I started teaching English as a private tutor in Cairo, Egypt with no training. I decided to get my CELTA and TESOL, which I did before moving to L'viv, Ukraine. There I taught at a private university in the day, and at International House in the evenings. I moved to California, where I taught ESL at a university to international students wanting to bridge into the regular university program. I moved to Istanbul, Turkey, where I began teaching at a university to bridge students, and ended by teaching to preschool children.
Interests: Nature, books, art, music, cooking, cats, kids, cinema, health, travel....
Education: I studied theater at UMASS, Boston right out of high school. I took some time out when I was cast in a regional theater. While working full-time in a busy law firm, I took classes in the evening at Harvard Extension school. There I studied history, French, and early childhood education. I spent one year as a full time student at The American Universtiy in Cairo, Egypt, where I mostly studied history. When I returned to the US, I finally focused on obtaining my BA, which I did at UMASS, Amherst. Before moving abroad again, I obtained my CELTA and TESOL.
