Profession: Graduate Student in International Education
Expérience d'enseignement: I have four years of teaching experience! I worked as a Substitute Teacher in a school with grades k-12 teaching all subject areas. I also worked in an afterschool program for two years with grades K-5. I first became interested in teaching English as a Second Language when volunteering in a childrens' ESL classroom. Since then I have taught English abroad in Nicaragua using a student-centered, communicative methodology.
Intérêts: I love to travel, learn languages, and get to know people from different cultures! I'm very interested in learning about my students' cultures and experiences. I also love to cook, bicycle, and go for hikes!
Éducation: I have a Bachelor's degree in Global Studies and Italian Studies from the University of Vermont. During my undergraduate degree I studied abroad in Italy and Mexico. I fell in love with traveling and learning other languages. I am currently finishing a Master's degree in International Education from SIT Graduate Institute. For my graduate studies, I worked in an English language academy in Nicaragua teaching ESL.
