Profession: Full-Time Student
Teaching Experience: I was an SI (Supplemental Instruction) Leader at Mt. San Jacinto College. I worked closely with the professors of my assigned classes to create study sessions for their students. It is a unique role that emphasizes empowerment of students and the fostering of independent learning, and incorporates elements of tutoring and teaching assistance. Most of my time was spent in groups, but I did dedicate time with individual students.
Interests: I love movies, reading, and writing--essentially creative storytelling! I truly love learning and still am passionate about subjects I chose to not pursue, such as astronomy, environmental science, and linguistics. I'm very interested in travel, and one of my goals as a student is to study abroad for a semester. I have a lot of exploring to do at home though, since I've never traveled out of my native California except for Mexico.
Education: I attended Mt. San Jacinto College and graduated with my A.A. in Liberal Arts. I am currently a transferring student at the University of California, Riverside and pursuing my B.A. in English.
Spoken Languages: English (Native), Spanish (Conversational)
