Profession: Teacher

Teaching Experience: I have taught English and history for the past 12 years. I began my career at a charter school in Detroit, then accepted a position in Bloomfield Hills public schools. I create hands-on learning experiences, differentiate instruction, and helm the school improvement committee in addition to running Model U.N. I am also a graduate of the Galileo Teacher Leader program, where I learned essential collaboration and best practice skills that I implement and support in my building.

Interests: Reading, running, nerdy pop-culture podcasts, cooking, doing STEM experiments with my kids (sometimes quite poorly)and other DIY adventures...

Education: I obtained a bachelor's degree from Albion College where I majored in English and History, and received my master's degree (MAT, Master's in the Art of Teaching) from Marygrove College. In addition to those degrees, I have 30 documented hours of study in graduate courses and completed the two-year Galileo Teacher Leader Program via Oakland Schools and Oakland University.
