Teaching Experience: I have a lot of tutoring experience! I have helped students ages 4-19 learn reading vocabulary and fluency in multiple settings.
As an Occupational Therapy student who has been through three 12-week internships, I have had a lot of practice at helping people understand, practice, and learn new knowledge and skills. Occupational therapy is a job in the health care field, generally in rehabilitation, working with people who (for example) may have had a stroke, been born with developmental disabilities, or are aging and would like to learn how to age successfully in their homes. We teach or re-teach skills that allow people to be as independent and participatory in their lives as possible. So, a huge part of this is analyzing the problem and relating things to people who may be having quite a difficult time understanding.
