Profession: College Professor/United States
Teaching Experience: I have taught at the college level for over 5 years but have also instructed at the elementary and middle school levels for over 6 years. I have worked with adult ELL and challenged learners.
I also work with ILETS students. Typically success in achieving your desired goal in ILETS ultimately relies on consistent and persistent effort an applying the skills you learn. I recommend the following schedule to provide ample preparation time. Approximately 4 months prior to testing. It is best to take a minimum of 60 minutes 7 days a week. Of course, there will be study time needed outside of class which relies on how much effort and time you can put into learning. Without putting sufficient time and effort into ILETS preparation, it will likely be difficult to achieve your desired goal.
Interests: I love computers and facilitating courses that empower learners. Some courses that I facilitated include college English, Computer courses, and Speech Communication classes. I am interested in technology and how their use are evolving in the business sectors. I enjoy discussing media and what is happening globally. I frequently watch the Discovery channel and even the History channel. I have a passion for learning and helping others achieve their potential.
Education: I have 4 degrees, 3 certifications, and I speak 2 languages.I graduated from the University of Arizona at Phoenix with a Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Instructional Design, E-learning, and Computers. I am completing my doctorate in Educational Leadership and Technology (ET). I also have a Bachelor's in Management and Human Relations, and an Associate of Science with an emphasis in Media Communications. I hold certifications in the business, legal, and medical fields.
