Profession: English teacher in a Japanese junior high school
Teaching Experience: I have over 1500 hours of in class solo teaching, teaching students with a wide range of English skill. From next to nothing, to nearly fluent students, who just want to improve their vocabulary. I read a lot and listen to a lot of audio books and podcasts. I feel like I have a strong mastery of the English language.
I'm very patient and understanding with my students. This comes from my personality, and because I am also studying Japanese in my spare time. I know how difficult it can be.
Interests: I am very interested in sports, such as jujitsu, weight lifting, running and soccer. I also like reading books from Hillary mantel and Robert Harris, as well as reading lots of history. I like many movies, especially from Tarantino, Akira Kurosawa, and Scorsese. I have also spent a lot of time travelling to foreign countries.
Education: I studied Zoology at the University of Hull, with a minor in British economic history.
Spoken Languages: English (Native)
