Profession: David Baker is a professor of English and Literature at University Santiago de Cali. For over 12 years, he has taught all ages and levels.
Expérience d'enseignement: David has one-year teaching K-4th graders in New York City. He has also taught at the university level for three years and the high school level for seven.
Additionally, David has experience writing a graduate-level thesis. This training afforded him the know-how when it comes to the writing process. It also sparked his interest in mastering English to benefit his students.
Intérêts: I love learning about new cultures and traveling. Currently, I am living in Cali, Colombia and learning Spanish while taking salsa dancing lessons.
Éducation: David received a bachelor’s of art degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio (2003) and a bachelor’s of science in education from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio (2005). He then taught and coached at the high school level for 7 years before returning to university in 2012 for his master’s degree at Washington University in St. Louis. His most recent educational accomplishment was in 2017 when he became an Oxford Seminar certified TESOL English teacher in New York City.
