Teaching Experience: I have a TEFL certification from Proyecto Santa Teresa in Costa Rica that I obtained earlier this year. I spent a month training there, followed by a month as a volunteer teacher. For the past few months I have been volunteering as an ESOL and EFL classroom assistant at the Brasshouse Language School in Birmingham, UK.
Interests: Music - folk music, hip hop, rock music, dance music, punk music, funk music, classical music - I can't get enough!
Travelling - I have been to many places including New Zealand, Australia, Costa Rica, California, Florida, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia, Spain, Italy and France. I would like to go to Scandinavia and Asia.
Science and Technology - I have a great appreciation for science, engineering and mathematics.
Entertainment - I like a broad range of books, TV and films, especially science fiction and fantasy.
Cooking - I'm not very good at cooking, but I enjoy it and I love eating food from all over the world!
Languages - I am currently learning Spanish, Japanese and Arabic. I enjoy learning about different languages and cultures. I also enjoy learning about linguistics - the theoretical study of languages.
Education: I hold a BSc in Sound Engineering and Production from Birmingham City University, and a TEFL certification from Proyecto Santa Teresa.
