Profession: Artist, Scholar
Teaching Experience: During my study abroad trip to Italy I had the opportunity to teach English to 4 different classes that comprised of about 75 Italian children between the ages of 11-13 for 1 month. It was an amazing experience because I was able to develop a curriculum I was interested in teaching and since I have such a arts heavy background we learned through games and music.
In addition, I took a class from the School of Education that went into depth on the value of mentor/mentee relationships with an added component of actually mentoring 2 underclassman during the course.
Since graduating the University of Washington I offer private lessons in the theatre world to students to help strengthen their performance, story telling and production skills.
Interests: I love theatre! If you want to talk about playwrights, plays, musicals I'm in! I'll admit I also watch movies and tv shows on netflix so I follow some pop culture but not much. I'm from Seattle so music is pretty much a way of life here and good food! I love traveling and the best part is tasting all of the amazing dishes from around the world! I've been to several countries in Western and Central Europe and I've lived in England and Italy. I'm a big literature buff so I'm constantly reading, writing and overall just living. I've been slowly learning Italian since 2005 so I know how hard it can be to learn a second language so congrats on pursuing something you're interested in!
