Profession: Teacher, Community Builder, Opportunity Creator/Taker
Teaching Experience: I have been "teaching" for over 18 years. I have homeschooled my three grown sons, been a leader at a parent run school, written curriculum as a school nurse, mediated (taught) people in conflict to listen better, run a kids' program in youth development through bicycling and skiing and taught English as a volunteer and member of a community supporting homeless migrant workers and at a community college most recently. I really value all the "teaching" opportunities that cross my path daily.
Interests: I love cooking and trying new recipes, hearing about peoples' experiences around a frequent campfire at my home, hiking, bicycling, supporting local political candidates, helping neighbors in need, engaging kids in healthy outdoor activity and challenging themselves with new things, arts and crafts, growing a garden, exploring new music, traveling to new places, walking in the woods, learning about edible plants, renting out my "hippie bus" on Airbnb, making puppets and having a play with kids
