Teaching Experience: I have my TEFL/TESOL certification from International TEFL Academy in Leon, Nicaragua. During the course I completed 180 hours of classroom studies and 10 hours of practicums teaching beginner, intermediate, and advanced learners between the ages of 13 and 55. Over the years, I have prepared and delivered dozens of presentations to peers to help them learn about and understand various corporate or organizational initiatives. I am a clay artist who has taught many classes to adult learners interested in pottery and sculptural techniques. In my fourth year of university, I was a Teaching Assistant (TA) responsible for conducting 1 1/2 hour classes weekly with approximately 25 students. I also graded their papers and assigned their final grades for the year.
Interests: Pottery, sculpture and the arts (clay, glass, metal, wood, painting, textiles); marketing and communications; community building; heritage restoration; urban design; music; dance; social justice; travel; food, beer and wine!
