Teaching Experience: I'm a native English speaker, and the only teaching experience I have is when I was helping a friend in high school learn English while she helped me learn some Chinese. I'm currently in school to become an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter. I also have many friends whose native language is ASL and at times I have to explain what certain English idioms mean, or - if they want me to - I will sometimes correct their written English since the syntax and grammar is very different from ASL.
Interests: I like discovering new music, learning about new things, and especially learning about different languages. I enjoy reading non-fiction, and writing short essays or blog posts about various personal and social issues.
I also am a gadget nerd! I love learning about the latest in technology, and have a bad habit of downloading way too many apps for my iPhone.
Education: I have a 2-year degree from a community college in Illinois, and am currently studying to become an American Sign Language interpreter here in Texas.
Spoken Languages: English (Native)
