Profession: Professional Brewer @ Cerebral Brewing
Teaching Experience: My ESL teaching experience began in Italy, where I worked for two summers with ACLE (Associazione Culturale Linguistica Educational), a summer camp program for children ages 6-15 that combines teaching in a classroom setting and through activities/games. I also earned a TEFL Theatre and Play certificate completed a Distance Learning Course offered through the ACLE organization. Additionally, I tutored Spanish and Japanese during college, giving me experience teaching foreign languages as well.
Interests: I have a variety of interests and hobbies. I like to ski, hike and camp - I love the outdoors! I enjoy cooking, eating, and learning about different types of food. I work as a brewer and so also am happy to talk about beer, wine etc. I like music, play a few different instruments and constantly listen to a wide variety of genres. I stay very up to date with global news, and enjoy discussing politics, current events and economics. I have also dabbled in photography, and started my own garden for the first time this past summer.
Education: I attended Colgate University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2012 with a dual BA in Spanish and Japanese. I studied abroad for a semester each in Madrid, Spain and Kyoto, Japan. I also took a gap year between high school and university to study abroad in Nagasaki, Japan for 11 months.
