I have taught at four different English schools in my career--three in the USA and one in South Korea. I have also taught as a volunteer, giving free classes to students from Afghanistan and Mexico.

Interests: 🟢 I was born in the middle of nowhere—Oklahoma, USA. (It's just north of Texas.) 🟡 In the place where I grew up, there were only trees and cows, and the roads were made of dirt (and they still are, in 2024!). 🟠 At my university, I studied English Literature and Spanish. 🔴 I studied Spanish for a couple of months at a language school in Costa Rica. 🟣 After that, I started studying TESOL (teaching English) and working at different language schools. 🔵 Most of them were in Oklahoma, and one was in Incheon, South Korea. 🟢 In life, I like amusing and fun things... HOWEVER... Ultimately, I'm concerned with the deep stuff: human behavior, right and wrong, life and death, joy and suffering, the origin of the universe, etc.🟡 Cambly is perfect for me because I get to connect with so many people and to hear about their lives. 🟠 Imagine the awesome privilege of talking to people of every age, personality, nationality, religion, orientation, etc., and hearing their thoughts on every possible subject. 🔴 THAT'S MY JOB! 🟣 I love it. 🔵 ALSO... I know what it's like to study a language because I study Spanish, and I know what it's like to be a foreigner because I've studied and worked abroad. 🟢 I have compassion for all the students, and I know that learning a language is tough! 🟡 I also know that a lot of people struggle with depression, anxiety, and trauma, and that many students are nervous, shy, and introverted. 🟠 No problem! I have had most of those problems, too. 🔴 I am here to listen and support you nonjudgmentally.🟣
