English Language Instruction
I don't have anything clever to put here at the moment.
Teaching Experience: While working on my master's degree, I served as a graduate teaching assistant for the History of Globalization, U.S. History to 1877, and U.S. History from 1877. I have also worked as a volunteer English tutor for eleven months, and I am a certified instructor of the Compton PESL (Pronouncing English as a Second Language) Accent Modification Method.
Interests: I have wide and varied interests, but I especially enjoy nature and the premodern world with a focus on religion, numismatics, writing, and languages. I read a bit of Latin most days of the week because I love it, and I have begun learning Sanskrit and the Devanagari script.
Education: Master of Arts in Medieval History
My thesis explored the records of four Christian monks who traveled between Europe and the Far East in the late thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries.
Bachelor of Arts in Ancient History
I double-majored in ancient history and anthropology (concentrated in archaeology) and minored in classical civilization. I took a number of Latin classes, which I thoroughly enjoyed, as a part of the ancient history major.
