Profession: 2nd Grade Teacher Assistant
Teaching Experience: I was a substitute teacher for 4 years in Chicago Public Schools (CPS). I taught in classrooms from Pre-K through 8th grade with many of the students being bilingual in Spanish and English. In 2019 I was a Special Education Classroom Assistant (SECA) for a 6th grade student. Currently, I am a 2nd grade teacher assistant for a Chicago private school. I am currently taking classes to receive my Masters in Teaching, and have already completed my ESL endorsement classes.
Interests: I enjoy staying active by bike riding, running, hiking, lifting weights, or going for walks. I enjoy watching classic comedy TV shows such as "I Love Lucy" and "Roseanne." My friends and family are very important to me, and I enjoy spending time with them. I also like playing card games and board games such as "International Rummy" and "Pandemic." I have a love for languages and am currently learning Hindi. I am able to understand a lot more Hindi than I can speak at this point.
