Profession: Currently working as an attendance teacher for the New York City Department of Education helping students to re-engage with school.
Teaching Experience: Taught at Risk over aged and undercredited high school students in Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY for five years. Also taught high school at A Philip Randolph HS in Harlem,NY. The last 12 years I work in the field visiting students homes who have problems attending school. Have also worked with the New York City Department of Education's home instruction and Hospital Instruction units tutoring students one on one.
Interests: Sports, particularly baseball and basketball. I referee basketball and soccer. I love all sorts of music, traveling, the beach, reading spiritual literature, and going to good restaurants, in addition to eating my wife's great food. She would kill me if I didn't include that.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marist College, 1979. Masters Degree in Urban and Multicultural Education, Mt. St. Vincent College. Have New York State License to teach Junior High school and High School Social Studies. Also have license in Pupil and Personnel Services.
