Profession: Education, Pollinator Advocate, Soil Health Specialist, Social Services Administrator
Teaching Experience: I ran an academic support program for American Indian children for over six years, so I've spent many, many hours tutoring kids of all ages in all kinds of subjects. I initiated a program to allow Indian children to earn high school credit for learning their native language. I was a volunteer tutor for Spanish speaking adults learning English.
Interests: I love animals. My husband and I have 13 mostly rescued pets, including 1 cat, 5 dogs, and 7 parrots. I create native habitat for and photograph pollinators. I play guitar, piano, and flute. After traveling in 25 countries and dependencies (just recently went through the list and counted them!), I've decided my favorite place to visit is New Orleans, Louisiana. I love New Orleans jazz, classical, bluegrass, folk, and old rock and roll music. Reading is a favorite pastime, especially fiction.
Education: B.A. in International Social Development from the University of Minnesota, with a minor in Russian language. Certificates in TEFL and IELTS prep. Certificate in guitar building and repair from Minnesota State College SE Technical.
Spoken Languages: English (Native), Russian (Basic), Spanish (Basic)
