Profession: I am a trained accountant who has worked in Information Systems as a business analyst.
Teaching Experience: I have taught Spanish and Asian learners who have been my colleagues at work. I taught piano when I was young, and I present training courses on software as part of my job. Not to be left out - I (along with my husband) have raised 2 lovely daughters who are solid contributing members of society. We helped with their homework, we taught them to ski, to ride bikes, to be kind and to embrace life.
Interests: I have 2 Australian Shepherd dogs who get spoiled with 2 runs a day. I love to bike ride and enjoy both cross-country skiing and downhill skiing. My regular weekly exercise routine includes pilates, yoga and swimming. I love to read and am a complete magazine 'junkie' - reading about cooking, travel, biking, the economy, politics and health. I love to learn new things, and any topic except mechanics intrigues me.
Education: I earned a BA in psychology from the University of Western Ontario.
After that I received a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation which became a CPA.
I held a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation.
I hold a Scrum Master certification along with an ITIL level 1 certificate.
I am a member of the International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA)
I hold a TEFL certificate with 140 hours, including 10 classroom teaching hours, and many hours of private teaching since.
