Beruf: Helping you build your confidence to practice and speak English well (hint: let's keep practicing together) :)
Lehrerfahrung: For the past three years I was an English teacher in Gwangju, South Korea and 'am now enjoying life in Tokyo, Japan. I have taught at the high school level, preparing students for Suneung (the Korean SAT college entrance exam), and at elementary schools introducing new learners to everything from phonics and basic sentence structure to songs and more advanced grammar. I have also tutored adults interested in business and casual conversation. As a former proofreader and copyeditor in the White House of United States President Barack Obama, I understand the importance of learning English in our world today and the doors of opportunity that can open for you as you learn English. I enjoy meeting students from all over the world as we practice speaking together. Most importantly, I facilitate a positive, friendly, and safe space to encourage the comfortable practice of learning to speak English well. Let's make mistakes! (And then correct them.)
Interessen: I love to read, ride my motorcycle, build websites, travel, play chess, and as you can see from my picture, skydive! I am also a proud two-term alum of the national service program AmeriCorps in the United States (similar to the Peace Corps), and in addition to working as a student teacher in Kindergarten and 6th grade math classes, I helped rebuild homes in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina with Habitat for Humanity.
Ausbildung: Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Biology and Business Administration from the University of Miami
